Okay, lol. This went not exactly to plan, which is fantastic anyway! This feature is still in beta by WorkAdventure, and it’s going to be amazing! I’m really excited to see what I can do with a custom bot script! As we can see in this video, there are lots of exciting bits and pieces to consider and prepare for to have a smooth and seamless experience apart from a static AI chatbot interface using the Workadventure Chat as the interface. Anyway, it’s really cool that the AI bot in the Hub now knows about the areas of the map and what to do where. To do that, we just need to add a custom area in TILED using some specific properties to define the area. Check out their WorkAdventure Documentation (Tutorial 5: Developing a bot using ChatGPT | WorkAdventure Documentation) for more info! There is lots of potential here.

Love this @Kilian. Instead of calling this a receptionist, this AI assistant has become a AI concierge.
As discussed, concierge might be some kind of elitism.
I’ve decreased the areas the bot can navigate to. I hope that this avoids the bot beeing stuck in areas where it couldn’t interact anymore (Jitsi areas or silent zones)
